This week, we were asked for our assistance in getting some publicity for fancy dress shop, Props & Frocks, in Battlesbridge, Essex.
They shot to fame earlier this year when they appeared on a TV show with Alex Polizzi. The Fixer recently called on the shop once again to help with a mission in her other TV show, The Hotel Inspector.
Our journalist helped them to gain this publicity on popular Essex and Hertfordshire news website, About My Area…. http://www.aboutmyarea.co.uk/Essex/Chelmsford/CM2/News/Local-News/229573-Fancy-Dress-Company-Props-and-Frocks-has-Costumes-Featured-on-Channel-5s-The-Hotel-Inspector
We’re absolutely delighted this week to have secured a publicity first for one of our school clients.
We offer PR services to Burnt Mill Academy, in Harlow, Essex, and regularly release positive news articles for them to the local press.
GCSE results day brought our most powerful opportunity to promote the school with them achieving a giant 16 per cent leap in this year’s results, making them top of the town.
The news was so impressive, we managed to secure the school a precious slot on local radio station BBC Essex’s popular Drivetime show.
Our client was delighted with the result. Deputy headteacher Charlie McCarthy said: “Thanks for everything Kelly and for setting up the radio interview. First time we’ve had that sort coverage so really good for the school.”

Our written article also takes pride of place on the school’s website… http://www.burntmill.essex.sch.uk/
It may be the summer break for our school clients, but the last week has seen them become hives of activity as students collected their A-level and GCSE results.
With extensive experience working on local newspapers, we are acutely aware of the information needed and tight deadlines faced by journalists covering these types of events. More and more, readers expect to receive their news instantly via the internet and so newspapers must upload stories like this asap onto their websites. At KLC, we are able to offer clients this type of instant publicity using our experience and contacts.
Our journalist spent the two results day mornings with clients The Helena Romanes School, in Great Dunmow, and Burnt Mill Academy, in Harlow, both Essex, interviewing successful students and proud parents and teachers.
The result is some great publicity in all of their local newspapers, both in print and online.

We were delighted this week to receive some positive feedback from client Tina Hall Photography.
The company commissioned us to write the content for their brand new website. We spent time with the client, getting to know their business and ethos before copywriting the six pages of content.
Tina said of our work: “The words you have written are fantastic. So much better than I could ever have come up with. Thanks for all your help.”
We’re extremely pleased with this feedback and look forward to seeing the completed website online soon!
We first secured publicity for estate agency Brentwood House Sale when they were a new business.
They recently commissioned KLC to help gain further publicity as they celebrated their third anniversary.
We’re delighted with the coverage the article, written by our journalist, has received this week in the Essex Enquirer newspaper.
