Press publicise Paralympic visit

We were honoured recently to meet world champion Paralympic swimmer Fran Williamson.

As Media Consultant for Maltings Academy, in Witham, Essex, we sent our journalist along when the inspirational sportswoman visited.

We invited the local press to send their photographers along and we’re pleased the Essex Chronicle got a lovely photo of students with the athlete.

Students fight for their future

Students fight for their future

Schools today are working harder than ever to focus their students’ attention and provide for their needs. It’s no longer just about classroom lessons to achieve good grades. For some students, alternative ways of helping them to learn have to be found. Two of our schools – New Rickstones Academy and Maltings Academy, both in Witham, Essex – have employed the help of national boxing coaches to boost students’ self-esteem and concentration. As Media Consultant for both schools, we sent our journalist along to one of their classes to write an exclusive feature for local newspaper, the Essex Chronicle. Have a read here… Students fight for their future

World champ inspires a generation

We were very proud to be a part of the London 2012 excitement last summer, spending several days at the games working for clients’ publications. This year has seen the wonderful knock-on effect of schools welcoming more and more stars from the world of sport in to class to inspire the next generation. Our journalist was delighted this week to report on a visit by world champion and Paralympic medallist swimmer Fran Williamson to our client school Maltings Academy, in Witham, Essex. Fran had students fascinated as she told her story, from complicated birth and brain damage to reaching the top of her game by the age of 13. We look forward to seeing what coverage we secure in the local press.

We’re happy to provide columns for any magazine or newspaper on a variety of topics. Simply drop us a line at words@kellylouiseclark.co.uk if you are considering launching a column and believe we can help.

Wedding words of wisdom

As the one-month countdown begins to journalist Kelly’s Big Day, we love nothing more than writing about weddings!

So, we’re delighted to see two whole pages in this month’s I Do wedding supplement in the Essex Chronicle newspaper taken up with a wedding planning column and other helpful articles written by us.

Who better to write about weddings than a journalist who is a real-life bride-to-be? If your newspaper or magazine would benefit from some words of wisdom from a writer who is living and breathing weddings, drop us a line at words@kellylouiseclark.co.uk

We also want to hear from other Essex brides-to-be to feature in our next column.
