Such a proud day for us here at KLC as our school clients announce their GCSE results.
Many have reported, through us, record-breaking results with leaps in their pass rates.
Our journalist spent the morning speaking with students at client school Burnt Mill Academy, in Harlow, Essex, where results are once again their best ever.
Articles, written by our journalist, were also released for clients Maltings Academy, in Witham, and The Helena Romanes School, in Great Dunmow, both Essex.
Photographers from local newspapers, including the Harlow Star, Witham Times and Essex Chronicle, attended the schools by invite of us to capture the tense yet exciting time.
Here’s how the Harlow Star newspaper used the article by our journalist on Burnt Mill Academy on its website this morning…
Our school clients may be enjoying their summer break, but our work for them continues.
We act as Media Consultant for a number of schools in and around Essex, sending our journalist into school regularly to write positive articles to share with the local media.

It’s a big day for some of our school clients as they announce their A-level results.
Our journalist was at one client school, The Helena Romanes School, in Great Dunmow, Essex, before 8am today to interview students as they discovered their news!
We were also pleased to have a reporter from the Dunmow Broadcast with us to interview and photograph more students for their website and newspaper report.
All students arrived with anxious faces, but soon were celebrating the results which gave the school a 99% overall pass rate. Head boy Max Turner and the majority of his peers are now off to their first choice of university. Full story here… HRS A-level results Well done to all of our school clients for great results!
Food is a passion of ours and so we thoroughly enjoy carrying out restaurant reviews for newspapers and magazines.
The latest mission took our journalist to Stansted Airport where she enjoyed a New York-style meal at the New York Grill Bar (http://www.radissonblu.co.uk/hotel-stanstedairport/dining) without having to leave the ground!

We’re over-the-moon with yet more great coverage for our article on a school client’s fun summer activities.
We released an article, written by our journalist, on the spy school being run at Maltings Academy, in Witham, Essex, to all local media. The story made a whole page of coverage in the Essex Chronicle newspaper (see earlier post), as well as being used as an item on BBC Essex radio.

KLC works due to our close working relationships with newspaper and magazine journalists and editors in and around Essex.
When we wanted some big coverage for a programme of summer activities at school client Maltings Academy, we contacted the Essex Chronicle to arrange an exclusive feature for their Go entertainment supplement.
We hope the whole page coverage – with words by our journalist and photos by the Chronicle photographer – will result in extra bookings for the scheme.

We’re pleased to see two websites we recently worked on have gone live.
As professional writers, we are able to write on any topic and in any style and therefore many clients commission us to write content for their websites. We work very closely with website designers to either refresh a website’s look and voice or to provide fresh content from scratch for a newly built site.
http://www.cambsstrawpellets.co.uk/ is a brand new website, designed and built by www.designandpost.co.uk, which needed content. Our journalist met with the business owner to gather enough information to provide wording for the four-page site.
We provided a website review of http://www.drafabb.co.uk/ before being commissioned to go ahead and instruct the necessary design alterations and tweak the existing content.
We believe both websites are now looking sharp and should bring about more business for their owners.
If you would like our journalist to review the content of your website and suggest improvements to earn you business from it, contact us today on firstname.lastname@example.org for a chat.
It’s always easier to write about things you know. And, since getting married recently, our journalist Kelly knows a lot about weddings!
Over the last few months, we’ve been providing a monthly column to the I Do wedding supplement of the Essex Chronicle newspaper about Kelly’s wedding planning.
The latest one – in this week’s newspaper – completes the picture with a rundown of how the big day itself turned out.
Take a look at how just seven months of planning can still create the perfect wedding… I Do column
