One of the products we produce that we are very proud of is the school news magazine.
Our magazines bring together news from throughout a term from within our schools and give our clients a way of sharing lots of positive stories with their parents, staff and community.
We handle the whole process, from gathering information for the news articles, collecting photos and writing the articles to designing the magazine pages, printing copies and delivering them direct to our clients.
The only time our clients need to get involved is to give any guidance over stories they may want included and approving the completed magazine before it goes off to print.
For our clients, it is a simple, pain-free process. They are happy in the knowledge they will receive a quality, professional publication to communicate their news, achievements and human interest stories.
This year, with Covid-19 seeing the partial closure of all schools, we provided the option of having our magazines produced digitally, to be emailed out to parents.

As the most memorable school year came to a close, we continued to promote our multi-academy trust client BMAT through the media.
Our journalist works with the primary and secondary schools in Harlow, Epping and Stansted in Essex and Newham in London which make up the Trust to secure positive publicity in the local, regional and education press.
In July, we secured national publicity for Sir Frederick Gibberd College, in Harlow, on online education website Teachwire…
School funds are allocated by numbers of pupils. Pupil numbers grow and are sustained by a school having a positive reputation. A positive reputation comes, in part, from positive publicity in the local media.
That is where KLC steps in.
We work with lots of school clients in Essex and London to secure positive publicity in their local publications to ensure their pupil numbers continue to grow.
Our journalist is in regular contact with our client schools to gather, write and distribute positive news articles to our contacts in the local and regional media outlets, from newspapers and radio channels to news websites.

As schools bedded down to a new normal in June, we continued to provide PR services to our clients to ensure their efforts were promoted.
Our journalist works with the primary and secondary schools within BMAT Education, in Essex and London, each week to gather positive news articles to write and distribute to the local, regional and education media.
The articles are also used to populate the Trust’s websites and social media.

Just before lockdown hit, we arranged to have a national education journalist visit one of our client schools.
New Rickstones Academy, in Witham, Essex, has been on a rapid journey of improvement in recent years, going from hugely undersubscribed to an Ofsted-rated Good school.
We were keen for our client to be given the opportunity to tell the story of its transformation and so invited the editor of Teach Secondary magazine and journalist from Teachwire news site to meet the head and have a tour.
We work closely with education publication editors who regularly turn to KLC to provide features focusing on our school clients.
So, when we were approached by Teachwire – the online publication which supplies resources, news, products and comment from the world of education – to produce some content around the school closures due to the Coronavirus outbreak, we were happy to oblige.
We turned to our client The Sigma Trust, which looks after 12 primary and secondary schools in north Essex.
Our journalist – Kelly Clark – spoke with heads at the four primaries within the Trust, as well as the CEO, to bring together a 2,000-word feature.
We also continue to provide BMAT with a monthly digital publication to keep colleagues informed of the latest news from within the organisation – a tool even more vital during the school closures…
