A-level results day – PR, web content and social media posts

A-level results day is one of the busiest times of the year for us at KLC as we work to promote our education clients.

In the weeks and days leading up to A-level results day in August, we prep our sixth form clients to provide us with all the information we need, when we need it, to enable us to secure the very best publicity from this important day.

We gather the headline results from our clients, as well as quotes from key staff before speaking with students as they collect their results to give plenty of human interest stories to sit alongside the figures.

Our journalist writes and releases press releases to the media first thing on A-level results day.

Earning publicity for school clients’ exam results

Working with schools is a year-round job for KLC.

Every week, we work closely with our school clients with the mission of securing as much positive publicity for them as possible.

The summer, though, brings two of the very best opportunities to promote our schools – A-level and GCSE results days.

Our journalist handles the release of all our school clients’ exam results, as well as interviewing students to put together interesting case studies editors are always looking out for. Indeed, we are approached each year by editors and producers who know we will provide them with the very best news stories during this annual event. It is not unusual for TV and radio crews to arrange to visit our schools as part of their exam results coverage each year.

Great publicity for A-level results day

The highlight of our year working with our school clients has to be exam results time.

The atmosphere in schools on both A-level and GCSE results days is electric and it’s great to see all the hard work rewarded, for both students and staff.

Yesterday was A-level results day and so our journalist spent the morning mingling with nervous students at Witham Sixth Form – the combination of our client schools Maltings Academy and New Rickstones Academy, in Witham, Essex.

Along with the usual crop of top-achieving students, we picked up some heartwarming stories about young people achieving despite adversity.

The stories were jumped on by local and national media and appeared online immediately.

Exam results mean huge school publicity

Although it’s a hugely busy time for us here at KLC, exam results days bring a great opportunity for publicity for our school clients.

Our journalist spends the two exam results days working on behalf of our many school clients to release details of their results, along with comments from headteachers and successful students, plus photos. A-level results day keeps KLC busy

It’s a big day for some of our school clients as they announce their A-level results.

Our journalist was at one client school, The Helena Romanes School, in Great Dunmow, Essex, before 8am today to interview students as they discovered their news!

We were also pleased to have a reporter from the Dunmow Broadcast with us to interview and photograph more students for their website and newspaper report.

A-level results

HRS head boy Max Turner with head of sixth form Matt Fletcher

All students arrived with anxious faces, but soon were celebrating the results which gave the school a 99% overall pass rate. Head boy Max Turner and the majority of his peers are now off to their first choice of university. Full story here… HRS A-level results Well done to all of our school clients for great results!

Great publicity week for school clients

It may be the summer break for our school clients, but the last week has seen them become hives of activity as students collected their A-level and GCSE results.

With extensive experience working on local newspapers, we are acutely aware of the information needed and tight deadlines faced by journalists covering these types of events. More and more, readers expect to receive their news instantly via the internet and so newspapers must upload stories like this asap onto their websites. At KLC, we are able to offer clients this type of instant publicity using our experience and contacts.

Our journalist spent the two results day mornings with clients The Helena Romanes School, in Great Dunmow, and Burnt Mill Academy, in Harlow, both Essex, interviewing successful students and proud parents and teachers.

The result is some great publicity in all of their local newspapers, both in print and online.
