School funds are allocated by numbers of pupils. Pupil numbers grow and are sustained by a school having a positive reputation. A positive reputation comes, in part, from positive publicity in the local media.
That is where KLC steps in.
We work with lots of school clients in Essex and London to secure positive publicity in their local publications to ensure their pupil numbers continue to grow.
Our journalist is in regular contact with our client schools to gather, write and distribute positive news articles to our contacts in the local and regional media outlets, from newspapers and radio channels to news websites.

As schools bedded down to a new normal in June, we continued to provide PR services to our clients to ensure their efforts were promoted.
Our journalist works with the primary and secondary schools within BMAT Education, in Essex and London, each week to gather positive news articles to write and distribute to the local, regional and education media.
The articles are also used to populate the Trust’s websites and social media.

Just before lockdown hit, we arranged to have a national education journalist visit one of our client schools.
New Rickstones Academy, in Witham, Essex, has been on a rapid journey of improvement in recent years, going from hugely undersubscribed to an Ofsted-rated Good school.
We were keen for our client to be given the opportunity to tell the story of its transformation and so invited the editor of Teach Secondary magazine and journalist from Teachwire news site to meet the head and have a tour.
We also continue to provide BMAT with a monthly digital publication to keep colleagues informed of the latest news from within the organisation – a tool even more vital during the school closures…
If your school, college or multi-academy trust is keen to secure more publicity like this or would like to have a publication produced to communicate with colleagues, get in touch on firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss.
Of course, March 2020 will forever be known as the time when the Coronavirus pandemic struck.
And, the virus kept our journalist extremely busy during March (and into April…). But, we also managed to secure our client BMAT Education plenty of publicity before the country’s schools went into shutdown.
BMAT has primary and secondary schools in Harlow, Epping and Stansted in Essex and in Newham, London. Our journalist visits the schools each week to find positive news articles to write and share with the local, regional, national and education media.

What a bumper news month February was for our client BMAT Education.
We produced and shared a huge number of positive news articles with the local, national and education media throughout the month.
Our journalist spends two days each week touring around the Trust’s primary and secondary schools in Harlow, Epping and Stansted in Essex and Newham in London to gather, write and distribute positive news articles.
The articles are not only used as press releases, but they are used to keep our client’s websites and social media channels populated with current content.
We were also asked by Teach Secondary, the national education magazine, to provide a feature for their February issue; an opportunity we took to our BMAT school Sir Frederick Gibberd College, in Harlow.
We also produce a monthly digital publication to keep BMAT colleagues and stakeholders informed of the latest news, developments and achievements within the organisation…
