GCSE results day – PR, web content and social media

GCSE results day is, without doubt, the busiest day in our calendar.

Working with many schools, we spend the weeks and days leading up to this important time ensuring our clients know exactly what we need from them and when so we get the very best possible publicity for them.

We collect the headline figures and quotes from our headteachers to release first thing on GCSE results day. Our journalists then spend the entire day meeting and interviewing students as they collect their results, picking up the very best human interest stories to help promote our client schools.

Take a look at the publicity we secured from GCSE results day this summer, including front page and page 3 coverage for client school BMAT STEM Academy

A-level results day – PR, web content and social media posts

A-level results day is one of the busiest times of the year for us at KLC as we work to promote our education clients.

In the weeks and days leading up to A-level results day in August, we prep our sixth form clients to provide us with all the information we need, when we need it, to enable us to secure the very best publicity from this important day.

We gather the headline results from our clients, as well as quotes from key staff before speaking with students as they collect their results to give plenty of human interest stories to sit alongside the figures.

Our journalist writes and releases press releases to the media first thing on A-level results day.

Providing PR services to multi-academy trust

Stories written and distributed by KLC to promote client BMAT in June included a successful Ofsted visit, plus two rounds of consultations to expand schools within the multi-academy Trust.

Our journalist also interviewed an Atlantic rower who visited Roydon Primary Academy to inspire children to strive for success.

Providing PR services to multi-academy trust

Each month, our journalist spends time gathering news articles in the primary and secondary schools which form BMAT multi-academy trust.

The articles are written and distributed to the local, national and education media to gain positive publicity for the schools in Harlow, Epping and Stansted in Essex and Newham in London.

During the month of May, we secured a full page slot in national education magazine Teach Secondary for the Trust’s CEO. The Classroom Voice section gave Helena Mills CBE an opportunity to share her views on social media.

Providing PR services to multi-academy trust

The Easter school holidays may have arrived in April, but it didn’t slow down the number of stories leaving KLC to promote our client schools.

We work with BMAT multi-academy trust each week to promote its primary and secondary schools in Harlow, Epping and Stansted in Essex and Newham in London.

Our journalist visits the schools and gathers, writes and distributes positive news articles to the local, national and education media.

The month saw another wonderful piece of national publicity secured for our client, with BMAT featuring in a three-page feature in Teach Secondary magazine.

The editor was looking to put together a feature comparing two versus three-year Key Stage 3. She was keen to include strong examples of both sides and, through regular discussions with KLC, knew BMAT would fit the feature perfectly.

Giving a national voice to school clients

Working with schools, we have a couple of goals we strive to achieve: we want to raise the profile of our schools locally and keep their reputations positive to encourage parents to apply for places; as well as giving our clients a voice on the national education scene.

This month, we have given that voice to two more of our client schools with publicity within the pages of national magazine Teach Secondary.

Our client Helena Mills CBE is CEO of BMAT multi-academy trust, with primary and secondary schools in Essex and London. She was keen to voice her views about social media and the place it has – or may not have – in the industry. We secured a whole page in the magazine for Helena to comment. Take a look here..

We are also regularly asked to provide mock lesson plans from experts around the industry to be shared in the magazine. This month, it was the turn of our client school Thomas Lord Audley School, in Colchester, Essex, giving the school a chance to share its expertise on a national scale. Have a read here…

National publicity for more education clients this month

This month’s national education magazine Teach Secondary features articles from KLC promoting our school clients.

A three-page feature in the magazine – distributed to every school in the country – looking at the debate between a two or three-year Key Stage 3 in schools includes a comment piece from KLC client BMAT.

The multi-academy trust, with schools in Essex and London, runs a unique curriculum which sees students in Year 9 achieving GCSEs. The comment, written by our journalist on behalf of the CEO, provides wonderful publicity for our client.

In the same issue of the national magazine, we secured a two-page slot for another client, Maltings Academy in Witham. We arranged for a member of staff at our client school to have a mock lesson plan featured in the magazine.

Glowing national publicity for school client

We work closely with editors of local, national and education publications and so when they are looking for schools to feature, it is KLC and our clients they turn to.

We recently welcomed the editor and photographer of national education magazine Teach Secondary to client school Nightingale Academy, in Edmonton, London.

As a result of the visit, organised by KLC, our client received a glowing three-page feature in the magazine which is delivered to every school in the country.
