Giving a national voice to school clients

Working with schools, we have a couple of goals we strive to achieve: we want to raise the profile of our schools locally and keep their reputations positive to encourage parents to apply for places; as well as giving our clients a voice on the national education scene.

This month, we have given that voice to two more of our client schools with publicity within the pages of national magazine Teach Secondary.

Our client Helena Mills CBE is CEO of BMAT multi-academy trust, with primary and secondary schools in Essex and London. She was keen to voice her views about social media and the place it has – or may not have – in the industry. We secured a whole page in the magazine for Helena to comment. Take a look here..

We are also regularly asked to provide mock lesson plans from experts around the industry to be shared in the magazine. This month, it was the turn of our client school Thomas Lord Audley School, in Colchester, Essex, giving the school a chance to share its expertise on a national scale. Have a read here…

KLC news magazines keep parents in touch with client schools

Each term, we produce news magazines to keep parents up-to-date with what is happening in their child’s school. Individual schools and multi-academy trusts love being able to show their parents all of the wonderful things being achieved within their schools and by their pupils. Our magazines are a great way of doing that.

Our journalist, designer and printer work together to take the whole operation out of the hands of our clients, liaising at the beginning and at the end to ensure a smooth operation with appropriate, lively, positive content.

These are just some of the most recent news magazines we have produced, for Trinity Primary Academy, in Wood Green, London; The Sigma Trust, in north Essex; the BMAT multi-academy trust, in Essex and east London; and Nightingale Academy, in Edmonton, London.

If you are looking at new ways of communicating with your parents, get in touch on words@kellylouiseclark.co.uk to discuss our school news magazines.

School news magazines and internal communications

While schools produce prospectuses to communicate vital facts and figures with interested parents, we believe sharing lots of wonderful news stories is an even better way to sell a school.

That’s where our school news magazines come in. We produce eight or 16-page news magazines for our school clients, packed full with positive news articles and smiley photos of children achieving and happy.

For some of our multi-academy trust clients, we also handle their internal communications by producing an alternative news magazine with updates for colleagues across their organisation.

Take a look at just some of our recent publications, for Trinity Primary Academy in Wood Green, London; the Sigma Trust in north Essex; and Nightingale Academy in Edmonton, London…

At KLC, we take on the entire process of gathering and writing the content, collecting images, designing and printing the publications for our clients. All our clients have to do is approve the design before it goes off to print.

If your school or multi-academy trust could benefit from this kind of communication with existing or prospective parents or its employees, get in touch on words@kellylouiseclark.co.uk to discuss.

National education publicity for school clients

We are often asked to provide mock lesson plans for the national education magazine Teach Secondary.

Our work with our school clients

We work with lots of school clients each week to secure positive publicity and to help them to communicate with their communities, with both internal communications and external PR.

As well as sourcing, writing and distributing positive news articles via press release, we also provide content for our schools’ websites and produce regular news magazines for parents, staff and stakeholders.

These are just a couple of our latest school news magazines – The Edge, for the community around Nightingale Academy in Edmonton, London, and Sigma News, with one version for parents across the schools within The Sigma Trust, an education Trust, in Essex and one for staff within the growing organisation…

Parents and staff in touch with school news

A product we are very proud of at KLC is the school news magazine. Many of our school clients benefit from this product, bursting full of photos and stories of young people aiming high and achieving.

Our client the Sigma Trust, in Essex, is the latest to opt for a school news magazine, working with KLC to produce two publications – one aimed at parents, the other targeting staff and stakeholders. As a newly formed Trust, the magazine is a great way of introducing the community to the set-up of the group of schools and the journey they are on together.

The entire production of these magazines is handled by KLC, from the story creation, image gathering and page planning to the design, proofreading, print and delivery.

If your school or organisation could benefit from improved communication with its community, get in touch on words@kellylouiseclark.co.uk to discuss our news magazines.

National publicity for new education trust client

It’s always great to secure brilliant publicity for a brand new client at the first attempt.

So, this two-page feature in a national education magazine is a real feather in our caps as we work to promote schools within the Sigma Trust. Liaising with our close contacts on Teach Secondary magazine, which goes into every secondary school in the country, we were able to arrange this wonderful opportunity for The Stanway School, with one of its teachers producing a lesson plan to inspire others.

PR and advertising targets core audience

PR Essex
Our article appears in Colchester 101 magazine

Our client The Natural Pedicure Company was keen to raise its profile in the two Essex towns it serves, Braintree and Colchester.

Knowing customers would be unlikely to travel from outside of these areas, we advised targeting the Colchester 101 magazine.

Our article, written by our journalist, appears in the November issue of the magazine, alongside an advert we were able to secure on behalf of our client.
