Getting your business news in print

Promoting your business through the local press can be a tough job.

We are often approached by business owners who are keen to get their name out there, but who have tried and failed to achieve publicity themselves.

At KLC, we have more than 21 years’ experience of working for and with newspapers and so we know what they want, how they want it and when they want it and can deliver the copy which will make the headlines.

All you have to do is spend a few minutes talking to our journalist, approve the copy and leave the rest to us.

Here are just a few recent examples of where we have helped our business clients to get their names in print…

Front page publicity for tearoom client

Thrilled to have once again secured front page publicity for a client this week.

Scrumptious Tearooms, in Essex, came to KLC for help achieving publicity in the local press. They had tried themselves several times with little success.

It was our pleasure to use our journalism skills and contacts to turn their latest news into a story the local newspaper editor would want to publish.

The very next day, the story – written by our journalist – appeared on page 3, with a large front page plug.

We had the same great results with another story for the tearoom recently, securing a page 2 slot within hours of being approached by Scrumptious…

Scrumptious Tearooms mystery feedback

KLC getting your news in print

At KLC, we help businesses, schools and organisations to get their good news published and their name out there in a positive light.

Our journalist, with more than 20 years’ experience, works closely with our clients to uncover the best stories which we know editors will be interested in publishing.

While some try their hand at getting their news in print, we often find the lack of knowledge of how to write a news story and an empty contact book leaves them struggling to get noticed.

When we picked up a story via social media about a tearoom seeking a mystery child customer who had stated on a feedback form they would like to work there one day, we knew there was a lovely regional story to be had. The business owner said they had struggled in recent times to get any news published and so hadn’t contacted the press on this occasion. One email to our contacts later and a news slot – ie free of charge – on page two of that week’s local newspaper had been secured!

KLC story makes front page splash!

Thrilled today to see a story written by our journalist taking up the front page of the Harlow Star newspaper.

We were out and about last week to collect stories to share with the media to promote our school clients’ GCSE results.

While at one school, our journalist met with a student who picked up hugely impressive GCSE exam results, despite a recent cancer diagnosis.

The local newspaper was so keen on the story, the editor sent a photographer to the family’s home to get this front page image.
