How many times did your school appear in the press for all the right reasons in the summer term?
None? Not enough? Wouldn’t know where to start…?
Not the case for my clients.
The summer term brought with it plenty of wonderfully positive stories for me to write about my client schools.
And, as a journalist of almost 30 years with a bursting contacts book, they all appeared in the press – whether that be on online community news channels or in regional newspapers.
For my client schools, all they had to do was spare an hour (or less!) each month to update me on all the latest news – either by email, phone, video call or in person – and then approve the articles once I’d written them, leaving me to distribute them to my contacts.
It doesn’t get much simpler than that, does it?
That work means that when parents are looking at schools for their children to attend, they will be presented with endless positive insights into the work going on within my schools.
If you are not pushing positive news stories out via the press, stop and think what prospective parents are basing their view of your school on…gossip? An out-of-date Ofsted report? Historic anecdotes? Makes you think, doesn’t it?
